Hittin the slopes!

What a beautiful day at Snow Basin!

Look at those 2 cute girls and adorable ski's So Chad decided to check the girls out early and go skiing, they were oh so happy! It really is a cute sight to see the dad and then two little girls following him down the mountain, going through the trees and going off little jumps! Mean while the mom is barely going down the mountain saying really bad words in her head!
It was a perfect day, the girls did great on their new darling ski's and Chad was in heaven and I am really sore and totally out of shape.

As we were doing a run Elli looked over and saw a huge moose it was really cool and then at the same place while we were coming down again the moose found a friend! Two big bull moose's and they were kinda fighting it was really fun to watch! I love this time of year and spending time with my family!

a real COWGIRL!

My little Elli loves horses and loves to go on rides with Grandpa Dave! So after a lot of tears and rearranging schedules we finally made it out to Grandpa's house! So, they get them all saddled up and they were on their way as they were walking around the field for the first time they were watching and talking about the cute ducks they saw over in the retention pond, I guess the horses forgot to listen cause they ducks decided to fly away and scare the heck out of the horses! So Grandpa's legs go up and he almost goes off and Elli's horse shyed, she fell off and her horse took off running! Madi is yelling "mom Elli just fell off her horse" So I go running out into the field and she was all muddy and a little shaky and just a few tears, but she did what a real cowgirl would do.....She got right back on the horse. It took a while for the smile to come back upon her face but she rode for over an hour. It is fun to see her and my dad having a great time together and both are thoroughly happy!

Conference Weekend

I love Conference!!! Every year over conference in October we go up to my parents cabin and close the cabin. We sit all together with a yummy fire and hot coco and listen to everything that we should be doing! Then we get to work and clean, clean, clean. This cabin is my most favorite place on earth! So now it is closed for the winter and all we have is our fun summer memories!!!! Here are some fun things that happened at the cabin this summer!

Camping at Trial Lake!

So ........for Chads Birthday we went camping for the night at Trial Lake! We had so much fun. We were worried that the weather would not cooperate but it was nice. We saw a mommy and baby deer right by our tent and the mountain air was yummy! Nice birthday cake with pine needles for candles. The next morning after a great instant oatmeal breakfast we were off on an huge hike! We met mom and dad at the trail head of Baldy Mountain, 2 miles to summit. We all had a great time, the girls did great and so did grandpa. We were so proud! The view was amazing! We usually sit on the screen porch looking at baldy but now we were on top of the world looking down at clouds and birds!

Birthday Boy

Happy Birthday chad the dad! The girls made a fun banner all by themselves, they were so excited for him to drive home and open the garage! Last year in his thirty's! We love you Chad! You are the best

"TOUR de SNOWBASIN"

I think Chad and John have been watching a little to much TV, they think they are in the French alps. So they parked at McKay Dee Hospital and rode their bikes all the way up to Snowbasin.

So Becki and I met them up their and we took the gondola and ate a very yummy dinner with an amazing view!! I do suggest if you are planning to eat there maybe have it be a special occasion like birthday, anniversary, not just a because dinner. It was a little pricey!!!

Then, this same night Chad met his dad out on Antelope Island for a moonlight ride. Chad got home at about 2:30 am. He rode about 50 miles that day!! He is a rock star!!!

Cowboy Grandpa Dave

The Ogden Horse Parade: Cowboy grandpa started out this fun parade it is the most exciting part of the whole parade. Tons of beautiful horses and even candy! We saw some babies, Clydesdale's, miniature pony's to name a few. We all had a great time!

We had a great cousin fieldtrip! So fun !!! We took a tour to the Sweet Candy Company. Candy has never been so interesting and taste so fresh and oh so yummy! Then we took a trip to the Gateway to run in the fountains. And we went to Lagoon too much fun in two days!!

RAGNAR ROCKS!!!!

The Asphalt Angels is our name and running is our game (totally cheesy) But seriously the 12 of us ran from Logan to Park city about 180 miles! My friend Shelli talked me into this crazy thing and I am so glad she did, it was amazing! No sleep, little food and a lot of laughing and crying and some throwing up also! My van had Me, Megan, Shelli, Dixie my friends from my neighborhood and shelli's two sisters Andrea and Cami my new friends! We were van #2 Van #1 had my friend Lisa and some of her sisters and friends. I had a great support team Elli, Madi and Chad! They met me in Eden where I was runner #7 the first to go from my van and they cheered me on the whole way! I did 12 miles total, it was the hardest thing I have ever done! Yeah US, what an accomplishment. I guess it wasn't too bad, we signed up again for next year BUT with Husbands!!!!

Lake Powell a great VACATION!!!

Our family vacation to
Lake Powell was a riot, the girls and chad waterskied, wake boarded and tubed!
The Healy's, McDougals, Rachel, Mom and Dad and the Curtis we all had a great time!
Thanks to Angie and James for sharing their toys with us! We had fun hiking, crafting, reading and just having a great time with the family! The weather and our campground was perfect!!
